Automatic text options

To turn on AutoFormat for creating lines, on the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options, click the AutoFormat As You Type tab, and then select the Border lines check box. (Applies to Word 2003 and 2002 only)

To turn on AutoFormat for creating lines, on the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect, click the AutoFormat As You Type tab, and then select the Borders check box. (Applies to Word 2000 only)

To create a line, press and hold the hyphen key to make at least three hyphens, and then press ENTER. To create a thicker line, hold the SHIFT key down at the same time, making at least three underlines before pressing ENTER.
